FOOD AND DRINK:Coca Cola's Irish business lost some of its fizz last year as pre-tax profits decreased by 17 per cent to €18 million. The decline in pre-tax profits follows revenues at Coca-Cola HBC Ireland Ltd declining by 10 per cent from €205.9 million to €186 million in 2011.

The firm paid a dividend of €19 million to its parent last year, and this followed a dividend payout of €12 million in 2010.

The firm in Ireland offers almost 20 brands. The figures show the firm’s revenues were hit by its decision to no longer sell beer and stout here.

The figures show that beer and stout sales accounted for €6.8 million in sales in 2010, and these did not reoccur in 2011.
