According to accounts just filed, pretax losses at the group declined by 30 per cent from €1.27 million in 2010. This followed revenues increasing by 15 per cent to €83.7 million last year. The group sold its Avis Rent a Car business in March this year to the Budget franchise. The car rental business accounted for some 50 per cent of 2011 revenues at €42 million.

Johnson & Perrott’s activities last year were divided between three business areas: motor dealerships, daily rental and vehicle-fleet management. The group recorded an operating loss of €878,452 on its car rental business in 2011 and an operating profit of €437,331 on the remainder of the firm’s business.
