A splash of colour can transform a bit of junk into an intriguing keepsake, and mother and daughter team Aida and Lucina Lennon can show you how at their creative workshops. The pair run Galerie Lisette, which sells art, prints, etchings and all manner of design pieces in the Wicklow village of Enniskerry, and they are holding one-day workshops in the shop, typically on Saturdays and from 11am to 5pm.
Pictured are several pieces renovated by Lucina and Aida (with Lucina’s daughter Fleur in shot lending a hand), including handpainted furniture and a small wooden sofa recovered using a tablecloth Lucina found in Portugal. The style-on-a- shoestring classes (€85) will show participants how to renovate old bits and pieces with colour and creative paint effects, how to design your own wallpaper and basic curtain making.
