Christmas at Tiffany's - now that's got a nice ring to it

THE SOCIAL NETWORK:It was beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Brown Thomas on Tuesday evening at a "Ring in the Holidays" event hosted by Tiffany Co, which donated 10 per cent of its sales on the night to the ISPCC.

Caroline Downey Desmond said she had raised more than €38 million for charities over the years. Her proteges, Jedward, will be jumping around the stage at the Childline concert this evening, and are psyching themselves up for their Christmas panto, Jedward the Magic Lamp.

Lisa Cannon, who is on the cover of VIP magazine with her Welsh rugby-playing boyfriend, Richard Keatley, was admiring the engagement rings, and joked that she was waiting for one to hop out from the glass case. Cannon is spending Christmas in London with her 99-year-old grandmother, Nora, who left Ireland in her 80s to live in Notting Hill and write poetry.
