Clodagh's cooking again - that's music to our ears

THE SOCIAL NETWORK:Clodagh's Kitchen restaurant at Arnotts was officially relaunched on Wednesday evening, following an investment of €300,000 by Capital Foods. The director of the company, RPeter Gaynor, is Clodagh McKenna's partner.

Enjoying the cocktail reception and five-course tasting menu were husband-and-wife duo Laurie Cearr and Myles McWeeney. Food Writers’ Guild, will celebrate his 70th birthday on Monday. He told me that he was born on St Stephen’s Green, in what is now Staunton’s on the Green. His grandfather was a professor in UCD, and had access to a “grace-and-favour” house there.

The new manager of the restaurant, David Andrews, is a nephew of former TD David Andrews and the late MEP Niall Andrews.

McKenna will run cookery demonstrations in the restaurant throughout the year. The next demonstration, on summer alfresco dining, will take place on June 21st.
