Go green on Clare Island

Clare Island, off the Mayo coast, is the setting for a series of organic gardening courses this spring. Delivered by Cáit Curran, one of the pioneers of organic farming in Ireland, the classes will take place over a series of weekends from March to May at Macalla Eco Farm.

Participants will learn the basics of growing organic vegetables.

Macalla Eco Farm is a self- sufficient small holding where care has been taken to ensure it complements the local landscape.

The weekend course, as well as offering useful and practical growing advice, is a great way to learn and unwind at the same time.
