SHORTS:Flights from Cork to Gran Canaria are among 10 new routes announced by Aer Lingus for its winter schedule
The new service to Las Palmas will run once a week, starting on Sunday October 30th. Three new weekly flights from Cork to Barcelona and twice weekly flights from Cork to Rome are also on the schedule, which has been extended to include twice-weekly services from Belfast to both Rome and Alicante.
Routes from Dublin will now include four weekly flights to Milan Malpensa throughout the winter while the recently launched service to Stuttgart will also be extended this winter with four weekly flights from Dublin.
Eastern airports top the polls
HONG KONG International airport has been voted best in the world by the airline review website Skytrax. Singapore’s Changi Airport runs a close second in the survey which is based on 11.38 million questionnaires completed by air passengers. Soeul’s Incheon Airport came in third followed by Munich, Beijing and Amsterdam’s Schipol Airport which was also named best airport in western Europe.
