Every Lidl helps:In this era of rising prices and economic gloom, Lidl and Aldi have been the big winners, according to the National Consumer Agency.

It carried out a survey last month and found that almost a third of Irish consumers had changed their grocery shopping habits since the beginning of the year, with 61 per cent of them opting to do at least some of their weekly shop in Lidl, and 54 per cent favouring Aldi.
