Rock On The Moor may line up in Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown

Jessica Harrington weighing up an entry for her mare in Grade Two event

Jessica Harrington is weighing up whether to let exciting mare Rock On The Moor take on the boys in Saturday's Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle at Punchestown.

Having won a bumper at Punchestown before finishing third behind Champion Bumper favourite Bordini in a Listed event at Navan, Rock On The Moor made an impressive start to her jumping career at Leopardstown on St Stephen’s Day.

She could now step up to Grade Two level in a race named after Harrington’s brilliant two-mile chaser, with Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite Douvan among her potential rivals.

Harrington said: “We thought we’d give her an entry as this race can sometimes cut up and she came out of her last race in such good form.

Good jumper

“She was impressive at Leopardstown. We didn’t know what we were up against that day, but she’s always been a good jumper and I hoped she’d run a big race.

“It could turn out to be a good maiden hurdle . . only time will tell, but she couldn’t have done any more .”

The Harrington-trained Jetson is set to head straight for the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at Cheltenham after coming up short at Leopardstown over the festive period.
